Baby & Parent Group
The Baby & Parent Group provides education and support to parents, grandparents and caregivers of infants with hearing loss. Bring your baby to the workshop; learn strategies to promote your baby’s listening and spoken language; and connect with professionals whose expertise is hearing loss.
Each month our Baby & Parent Group is led by a DePaul teacher or specialist including our:
• Listening and Spoken Language Experts
• Certified Speech-Language Pathologists
• Certified Teachers of the Deaf
• Educational/Cochlear Implant Audiologists
• School PsychologistOur small group provides parents with invaluable information and much-needed support. Most of all, the parents in the group learn that their child has the potential to participate in the hearing and speaking world… and parents learn how to make this a reality for their baby.

Auditory-Oral and Auditory-Verbal teachers often use a specific set of strategies called Learning to Listen Sounds in the early stages of listening and spoken language development.
