Parent Education

At DePaul we work with each child who is deaf or hard of hearing to develop his/her listening and spoken language skills.  This involves our team of teachers, therapists, audiologists and parents! Since parent involvement is essential to our students' success we provide a range of programs to educate and support parents, grandparents and caregivers.

Workshops

DePaul provides monthly educational workshops for parents that address topics related to the education and care of children with hearing loss.  Our presenters include DePaul’s highly trained professionals: Teachers of the Deaf, Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Listening and Spoken Language Experts, Administrators and our School Psychologist.

Workshops are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month from September thru May, and are open to all parents, grandparents and caregivers of children with hearing loss.  Childcare is available.
